This page contains the information you need to obtain the free version of the Steganography
Application Fingerprint Database (SAFDB).
Please review this page in its entirety before submitting your request! Failure to
do so will delay the processing of your request.
A free version of SAFDB is available to qualifying users. This version only contains
MD5 hash values of steganography application file artifacts. If you require stronger
hashing algorithms, please consider purchasing a full version of SAFDB.
Eligible users must be involved in computer forensics and employed by one of the
following:
- Law Enforcement agency whose employees are sworn law enforcement officers or civilian
employees of law enforcement agencies
- Government Intelligence agency
- Military agencies with authority in criminal and or counter intelligence investigations
- Government, State or other Regulatory agencies with a law enforcement mission
As a registered user, you must acknowledge understanding of and agreement with the
following conditions:
- Versions of the SAFDB compatible with EnCase, Forensic Toolkit (FTK), HashKeeper,
ILook, and ProDiscover will be made available at no charge to authorized individuals
at the sole discretion of SARC management.
- One (1) copy of the database may be made on your media of choice for backup purposes
only.
- You may not distribute any copies of SAFDB to anyone in any form on any media. Eligible
individuals must register to download their own copy.
- A log of SAFDB download versions, dates, and times will be recorded and retained
for review by SARC technical staff.
